Dr. Saunders conducts literature and survey research for the North American Resource Center for Child Welfare (NARCCW). She has also been a contributor to the Advisor newsletter of the American Professional Society on Abuse of Children (APSAC).
Dr. Saunders became a training manager for the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (OCWTP) in 2009. She develops supervisory curricula, collaborates with the Regional Training Centers (RTCs) to coordinate supervisor/manager training, and manages developmental products. Prior to her employment with IHS, Ms. Saunders coordinated a multi-agency training exercise between the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and the Ohio National Guard. She also directed the Chillicothe Correctional Institution through their accreditation process.
Dr. Saunders received her Ph.D., in Social Work from The Ohio State University and her Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western University.
